In a typical branch office, a financial advisor meets with clients and receives branch office support, so they can focus on building deep relationships with clients. Headquarters associates in St. Louis, Tempe and Mississauga provide support and expertise to help U.S. and Canada branch teams deliver an ideal client experience. We continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investors.Data Stewardship and Enablement is a department dedicated to supporting Finance's ability to understand, monitor, improve, automate, and enable process and data while adhering to the firm's governance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assumes all responsibilities of an Operations Solutions Developer I, plus:Responsible for applying business and technical knowledge to ensure availability of our systems and to provide quality solutions for business and enterprise software needs.Complete moderately complex application development assignments.Assist with defining and meeting business requirements.Provide support including on-call responsibility.Problem Solving:Define root cause and correct complex problems with limited guidance.Ability to build upon prior knowledge and experience.Decision Making:Decisions may often involve multiple variables and may require research and analysis to determine the most appropriate solution.Works independently within the guidelines provided by System Development Methodology and IS Standards.Issues would be escalated to senior-level associate or leader.May involve some technical leadership responsibilities.Span of Influence:The span of influence is medium:Assignments are for medium to low complexity risk efforts.Assignments would have some significant long-term impact on business results.Decisions are medium complexity.Some indirect technical leadership for medium complexity assignments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field preferred or related work experience.Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development.Develop business and technical requirements for enhancements; assist with requirements for new systems.Design (including application development specifications), develop, test, document, and implement quality application software within targeted timeframes.Provide application development and system level estimates - may include options and recommendations for course of action.Proficient in at least one of the following environments: establishing skills in others. Environments may include the following, plus the ability to interface with one or more database platforms:Web Application DevelopmentBI Application DevelopmentMainframe Batch DevelopmentEnterprise or solution specific purchased software.Understand business implications of projects for systems within responsibility and prior experience.Develop and build relationships and gain confidence of stakeholders.Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical associates and leaders.A working knowledge of multiple technologies including:Oracle Application Express (APEX)Robotics Automation (RPA) tools (Automation Anywhere)ETL/BI/Big Data/Analytics (Pentaho, WebFocus, Tableau, Hadoop, HIVE, Pig, Impala)Fiserv Frontier Account Reconciliation Software (Crystal Reporting)Moderately complex application development assignments characterized by:Assumes all skills of an Operations Solutions Developer I, plusComplex error handling, calculations and/or transfer logic.Multiple applications.Interaction with two or more systems.Changes to data and possibly data structures.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:
