Job Description Job Description About the Role: The Apartment Make Ready Technician plays a critical role in preparing rental units for new tenants by ensuring each apartment is clean, safe, and fully functional. This position involves performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including painting, cleaning, minor carpentry, and appliance servicing, to bring units up to company standards. The technician works closely with property management to meet tight turnaround times and maintain high occupancy rates. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality are essential to enhance tenant satisfaction and uphold the property's reputation. Ultimately, this role ensures that every apartment is move-in ready, contributing directly to the overall success of the real estate rental operation. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in apartment make-ready or property maintenance roles. Familiarity with painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs. Certification in OSHA safety standards or related training. Strong organizational and time management skills. Experience working in a fast-paced real estate or property management environment. Responsibilities: Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of apartments, including kitchens, bathrooms, floors, and windows. Conduct minor repairs such as patching drywall, painting, replacing fixtures, and fixing appliances. Inspect units to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Coordinate with property managers to schedule make-ready work and report on progress and completion. Maintain tools, equipment, and supply inventory to ensure readiness for daily tasks. Document work performed and communicate any larger repair needs to maintenance supervisors. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working on-site.
