Dining Manager

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, supporting the Team in optimizing each Resident's health, well-being, and overall experience by providing supervision and direction to the food service program; plan and prepare appealing, nutritious, heart-healthy, tasteful, fresh food for elder Residents and Guests.Provision Living was established in 2005 with a mission to empower our team members to grow, prosper, and create exceptional places for elders and their families. Based in St. Louis, Provision Living currently operates 18 senior living communities in Missouri (Oak Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care), Michigan, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Ohio, serving nearly 1,000 older adults.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create a Restaurant-Style and Room-Service-Style dining experience for our Elders (Residents), their families and Guests.
  • Plan and implement a menu cycle that will be well-received by the Residents and features seasonal menu items
  • Create recipes that are healthy, and our Residents will enjoy!
  • Provide continuous hands-on training to your Team of Cooks and Servers (cross training is the key!)
  • Create/maintain weekly work schedules and be an active part of your cooking and server Team
  • Support all room service, catering, special party needs, and marketing functions
  • Maintain and promote positive relationships with Team Members, Residents, their families, and Guests
  • Serve as Manager-on-Duty on rotational basis with other management staff (once every 5-8 weeks)
  • Keep food and supply costs within budget
    . Requirements:
    Requirements - Culinary Arts Degree or equivalent and minimum of 2 years' related experience and/or training, required - ServSafe - Manager certification, required - Applicable State licensure, required - Collaborative team player with positive outlook and excellent communication skills with Team Members, Residents, their families,and Guests, required - Experience with motivating and coaching dining staff, preferred - Strong organizational skills, attention to details, and multi-tasking - Dependable with a strong work ethic - Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
    Supervisory Responsibilities - Will supervise up to 5 employees on day-to-day presentation of dining services developed specifically for seniorsPhysical Requirements: - Be able to lift/move up to 50lbs with or without assistance, bend, stand, move freely, operate equipment...
