WHAT YOUR ROLE ENTAILS AND HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTEThe role of a
Software Engineering Manager is crucial for ensuring the successful
development and delivery of software products within Hallmark. They
serve as the bridge between the technical team and upper
leadership, translating strategic goals into actionable plans and
ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Additionally, they are responsible for fostering a collaborative
and productive work environment, mentoring team members, and
implementing best practices to maintain high quality standards in
software development processes. Ultimately, the software
engineering manager plays a pivotal role in driving innovation,
maximizing efficiency, and achieving the company's technological
objectives. The Software Engineering Manager is responsible for the
management of people, processes, technologies, software
development, and vendor relationships. They will work in
collaboration with internal IT partners, business partners, as
external technology and resource providers. Leadership and
technical expertise will be instrumental in achieving our
objectives.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Electronics
Engineering, Computer Science or a related field plus five (5)
years' of progressive experience as a Software Developer, Technical
Lead, or related position.
- 5 years of experience in software development, database
technologies, and API development.
- 3 years of experience managing and leading cross-functional
teams.
- 2 years of leadership and management experience in software
engineering principles, methodologies, and best
practices.ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- This is a hybrid role, with the opportunity to work both
on-site at Hallmark's Headquarters and virtually from your
residence in the Kansas City, MO metropolitan area. The intent of
our hybrid strategy in Hallmark Technology is to drive in-person
collaboration, build partnerships with the business, and enhance
team culture, while maintaining flexible work arrangements,
contributing to a positive work/life balance.
- Rate of Pay: From $145,002.06 per year. This amount meets or
exceeds the prevailing wage as determined by the U. S. Department
