  • Employee Assistance ProgramJob Description:Medication Clinic Administrator**$1500 Sign-On Bonus**In accordance with agency Mission, Vision, Values and Goals, this position oversees the agency medication clinic and nursing services. Direct services include providing services to individuals (adults, adolescents and children) who are in need of pharmacological treatment or evaluation. Responsibilities include duties associated with the efficient flow of consumers through the Medication Clinic and oversight of other agency nursing needs; assuring the safety and quality care where all is concerned.
    • Responsible for the daily operations and administrative oversight of medication clinic staff including, but not limited to, process performance and improvement, reviewing documentation reports, monitoring productivity and ensure standards are met, oversight of prescriber schedules, pharmacy coordination with front desk and other department to ensure all consumers needs are met in a timely fashion.
    • Responsible for hiring, training and supervision to agency med clinic nursing staff as assigned. Completes the annual performance appraisals and completes random quality management reviews of assigned staff's documentation and services provided.
    • Responsible for oversight of DMH and Mil Levy funding of medications. Ensures budget guidelines are met and provides approval for higher cost medications for consumers as needed within those budget guidelines.
    • Responsible for agency infection control needs and Level I Med Aide training. Includes but is not limited to: TB and infectious disease screening for employees and consumers, maintaining infection control logs, completing quarterly reports and providing training as requested. Provides education and communication to employees and consumers as needed.
    • In coordination with the HCH Director is responsible for oversight of agency completion of Metabolic Syndrome screenings and ensures a minimum completion rate as defined by DMH. Coordinates with other departments to ensure there is timely completion.
    • Provides oversight to PAP applications and sample medications utilized within the agency and ensures staff are monitoring and tracking the use of these appropriately. Coordinates with drug reps to ensure agency clients have access to new medications and coordinates quarterly education for staff regarding medications available when needed and ensures applications are completed in a timely fashion.
    • Facilitates program, departmental and agency communications/operations through required attendance at meetings that include, but are not limited to: Leadership, Management Council, Med Clinic Staff Meeting.
    • Follows all agency policies and procedures including emergency and corporate compliance policies/procedures 100% of the time.
    • Perform consultation and education duties internally as requested in area of medication, medication regimes, and physical health management.
    • Prepares clients for prescriber visits: vital signs, weight, height, BMI, AIMS assessments, reviewing all lab results and reporting any concerns to prescriber, and metabolic screenings when appropriate. Gathering vital information as needed by prescriber: information on physical health issues, changes in physical health medications.QUALIFICATIONS:
      • RN or LPN: graduation from an accredited school of nursing, accredited college/vocational school and current professional registration in the State of Missouri, with confirmation from the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
      • Prior experience with adult and youth psychiatric nursing is beneficial and preferred but not mandatory.
