or Full-TimeJob Overview:This position will provide competent,
client centered nursing services and facilitate health education
for our clients in a residential setting. This role will complete
standard nursing duties (temperature and blood pressure checks,
etc.), and interview clients and families to gather
medical/medication history, provide required documentation/keep
records updated, monitor MAR's (medical administration records) and
PO's, and function as a resource for nursing and anything involving
medical matters.What you'll get to do:
- Function as a resource person for nursing & medical issues.
Oversee infectious disease control, client hygiene, and related
client & facility health issues, under the supervision of nursing
- Perform all appropriate nursing assessments per service line
requirements, utilizing a high level of clinical competence.
Examples include but are not limited to: Initial admission
assessments, post-restraint assessments, AIMS, physical & mental
health assessments, and psychiatric screeners.
- Administer or oversee administration of medications via various
methods (oral, injection, & others as indicated) according to
service line requirements.
- Prepare medications as needed; Conduct medication destruction
as needed and on a routine basis, according to service line.
- Communicate with clients regarding medication questions &
needs; stages refill requests to providers according to standard
operating policies & procedures.
- Rooming of clients, verification of client data / medical
history, confirming purpose of visit, obtaining necessary physical
preliminary requirements such as blood draw, urine sample, height,
weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.Qualifications:
- Nursing degree from an accredited school.
- Current RN or LPN nursing license from the State of
- Current certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/
First Aid and Medication Aid trainer.
- Prior experience with adult and youth psychiatric nursing is
