  • Under the direction of the Clinical Manager or Director, coordinates patient care and staffing needs for areas.
  • Ensures that patient care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standard of Practice, and the generic and unit structure standards.
  • The charge nurse oversees employees and the day to day operations within the department.
  • The charge nurse participates in the interviewing and hiring process, and has input in the evaluation of employees and staff disciplinary process within the department.
  • Charge Nurse in this department provides care for adolescent patients age 16 and up, young adult patients age 18-39, adult patients age 40-64, and geriatric patients age 65 and older.You contribute to our success.     • Graduation from a school of nursing required.
    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
    • Current Missouri RN license required.
    • BLS certification required.
