Job Summary and Qualifications About this unit: - 16 Bed Unit, Inpatient Rehab Unit - 30 to 40 new patients on average per month; Length of stay is 10 to 14 days - Variety of patients that meet criteria for medical management including Stroke, Traumatic and Non-Traumatic brain injuries, and Ortho patients - Close Knit, Team Oriented Unit with High expectations and accountability Responsibilities: - The role of the LPN is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director. - The LPN in this department provides care for adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older (and sometimes those younger than 18 if they are deemed appropriate for admission to the Rehab Unit. What qualifications you will need: - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date - (LPN-IV) LPN with IV Certification - Vocational School Graduate Centerpoint Medical Center is a 285 bed hospital featuring state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
