Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Independence, MO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,941 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills - Management of vasoactive drips Description: Position eligible for guaranteed hours. Unit specifics include a total of 36 beds. Patient ratios are 1:3 during the day and 1:4 or 1:5 during the night with patient care techs available. Typically, total RN based care is provided with no techs unless stretched. Secretaries are available for resources during the day shift. Equipment includes BiPAP, heated high-flow nasal cannulas, and IV pumps. Documentation system used is Meditech. Full-time staff are required to work 36 hours per week with every third weekend rotation. Part-time staff are required to work 48 hours per week with every third weekend rotation. PRN staff have varying shift requirements based on their designation. There is a rotating holiday schedule. Floating policy exists where staff may float based on rotation and availability. Patient experience requirements include bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds. The facility is a level 2 trauma center with various accreditations. Typical procedures performed include central line or PICC line placements and chest tube placements. Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude and a desire to work as part of a team. Dress code includes charcoal grey scrub tops with matching scrub bottoms. Unit specific jackets are available for order. Unit guidelines and policies are attached for review.
