ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med
Surg for a travel nursing job in Overland Park, Kansas. Job
Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN -
Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:
12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum
of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required.
Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for
extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment.
$750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg
Orthopedic Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts: Day shift 6:45 AM -
7:15 PM, Night shift 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM • Rotate through every 3rd
weekend (sometimes every other if leave of absence coverage needed)
• Patient ratios of 5-6:1 • Kansas nursing license required • BLS
certification required • NIH certification preferred • Acute care
hospital experience on Med/Surg or Telemetry units required • Work
with equipment including traction, external fixators, halos,
walkers, gait belts, bed alarms, continuous pulse ox, and remote
telemetry monitoring • Use Meditech EMR system • Perform wound care
and dressing changes • Each shift staff check out iPhone 7 to
utilize Mobile Heartbeat (iMobile) program for team communication •
Required to wear royal blue scrubs • Work in fast-paced med/surg
acuity unit specializing in orthopedic injury, neurological
conditions including stroke and head injuries, and traumas
Facility: This healthcare facility is a busy Level 2 trauma center
featuring two freestanding emergency departments and a
comprehensive orthopedics and spine specialty unit. The facility
operates a 36-bed unit with all private rooms located on the 3rd
floor of Tower A. The organization has achieved exceptional staff
retention with 0% first-year RN turnover and only 7% total RN
turnover compared to the national average of 17%. The facility has
demonstrated continuous improvement in employee engagement and
recently expanded from 26 to 36 beds due to growing patient volume
in orthopedic and spine specialties. Location: Overland Park, KS
