Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time RN position is available in Independence, MO, supporting a special needs 4th grade student at an elementary school. This contract role requires a nurse with recent pediatric experience who can manage both direct student care and school clinic responsibilities throughout the district. Key Responsibilities: - Provide nursing care for a 4th grade female student with complex needs, including G-tube feeding, seizure disorder management, and wheelchair assistance. - Transport with the student via bus from the bus barn to school and back. - Manage the school clinic independently when the student is not in attendance, supporting PreK12 students across various sites. - Maintain accurate documentation through electronic charting systems. - Collaborate with school staff and coordinate healthcare needs effectively. - Adapt to variable schedules and work locations, including flexibility across the district. Qualifications and Experience: - Licensed Registered Nurse in Missouri with a clear, active license (no restrictions or hits). - Recent pediatric nursing experience required, preferably in ICU, ER, or school settings. - Comfortable working independently and making clinical decisions. - Proficient with technology and electronic medical records. - Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. - Prior experience in school nursing strongly preferred. Location: - Independence, MO (no travel candidates). - Primarily based at an elementary school with district-wide responsibilities as needed. This contract position begins as soon as possible and runs through May 28th. Candidates will undergo a prescreening call followed by a virtual interview with the school coordinator.
