License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS
Must-Have: - Experience in medical-surgical and telemetry -
Proficient in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias -
Experience with rapid response and code teams - Skills in feeding
tube care and management - Ability to manage continuous bladder
irrigation (CBI) - Competence in starting and maintaining
peripheral IVs and PICC lines - Familiarity with epidural analgesia
and PCA management - Experience with surgical drains and chest
tubes - Knowledge of isolation precautions and wound care
management Description: The primary patient population includes
individuals post-bariatric surgery, urological cases, hepatobiliary
procedures, colorectal surgeries, and trauma patients. Common
post-operative pain control methods include epidural, PCA, ketamine
drip, and lidocaine infusion. Patients may have continuous bladder
irrigation or long-term catheters. A variety of drains, including
Foley, JP, and chest tubes, may be utilized frequently. Many
patients will require wound vacs due to their surgical procedures.
Regular floating between departments may be needed to meet facility
demands. The role requires weekends, with an expectation of 8
shifts every 6-week scheduling period. References and a background
check will be required prior to employment. Candidates must be
available for compliance modules. Drug screening and health
