Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A rewarding opportunity is available for a Surgical Technologist with expertise in ENT, Neuro, and Surgical Oncology procedures. This contract role offers a consistent work schedule of four 10-hour day shifts, providing a balanced and focused workweek. The position requires Level I trauma experience and the ability to float to all OR areas, enhancing your surgical skills across diverse specialties. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Strong experience in ENT, Neuro, and Surgical Oncology (general surgery) Level I trauma experience required Preferred: 1.5 to 2 years travel experience and strong Orthopedic and Transplant experience NBSTSA certification preferred; or a minimum of 3 years Certified Surgical Technologist experience if non-certified Current AHA BLS certification is required New graduates will not be considered Schedule/Hours: Days, 4x10 shifts (06:30 - 17:00) On-call 3 to 4 shifts per 8-week period, which may include weekends No regular weekend shifts or holidays required (holiday pay reductions apply if holiday falls on scheduled day) Responsibilities: Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and functioning Assist surgical teams during ENT, Neuro, Surgical Oncology, and trauma cases Float to various OR specialties to support surgical team efficiency and patient care quality Participate in scheduled orientation, including an 8-hour no-bill session before starting Location:Positioned in a premier academic medical setting in Kansas City, this hospital is renowned for cutting-edge surgical care and innovation.
