Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses (StaRN). This New
Graduate Nurse Program is designed to prepare you to succeed in a
hospital environment. The StaRN Program is a facility sponsored,
HCA led specialty training initiative designed to provide intense
post graduate training to a new graduate nurse. The program is
comprised of a combination of didactic training, high definition
simulation and clinical preceptorship at the sponsoring facility.
As a new RN in our StaRN Program, you will receive the education
and support necessary to develop the judgment, skill and knowledge
you ll need to become the highest caliber nurse.

- The registered nurse coordinates and provides therapeutic and
administrative services necessary for the care of the PCU
- Nursing care is provided in accordance with the hospital and
departmental policies and procedures, and supports the mission of

16 and over, young adult patients 18-39 years, adult patients age
40-64 years, and geriatric patients age 65 and older.
- Patients under the age of 16 will be cared for until stable
enough for transfer.

preparation, acquire advanced knowledge in the psychosocial,
spiritual, pathophysiological, and therapeutic components specific
to the care of the patients requiring step-down care and cardiac

- Graduation from a school of nursing with either ADN or BSN
- Must hold a current RN license from the Missouri State Board of
Nursing or must have ATT letter to sit for licensure exam prior to
the cohort training start date.
