Responsibilities: Coordination of Trauma Registry Activities:?
Assures registry data is accurate and reporting deadlines are
??????????????????????????????? ????? ???????? Criteria:?
A)??Accurately identifies all patients for entry into the hospital
trauma registry. B)??Accurately and completely verifies all data
collected as required for a Trauma Center. ?C)? Assigns and scores
all injuries utilizing the AIS and ICD coding systems, assigns
accurate E-codes on all procedures and?complications, ensures all
data elements are collected and entered properly.D)?Provides
monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reports to the Trauma Program
Manager as requested, submits required data to the state registry
per State statue, and identifies and submits data to approved
local, regional, and national studies as approved by the Trauma
Program Manager. F)?Collects data for descriptive and analytic
epidemiology. G)?Demonstrates ability to use computer hardware,
trauma registry software, and oversees preventative and routine
maintenance for database registry as well as extracts data from
database into spreadsheet formats. H)??Assists with facilitating
research projects related to the delivery and efficiency of trauma
care (outcomes). I)????Organizes and maintains database to ensure
conformance to trauma registry operational standards.
?J)???Maintains all reference materials necessary for trauma
registry, coding and abstracting. K)??Monitors compliance and
accuracy of data entering into registry.? The Trauma Registrar,
under the direction of the Trauma Program Manager and Trauma
Medical Director is responsible for utilizing ????ICD-9 CM/ICD-10,
Injury Severity Coding and QA/PI knowledge to abstract information
from identified trauma medical records as required to complete the
trauma registry. This includes maintaining the integrity and
confidentiality of the registry, verification and updating of
information compiled, and preparing reports as requested.??You

- Graduation from a school of nursing required.
- Current Missouri RN licensure required.?
- Current BLS required.?
- Minimum of?2-3 years of?RN hospital experience required.? Data
