schedule) Position Summary : To be the front-line leader
responsible for supervising and coordinating all tasks of assigned
personnel and to execute the defined production plan safely,
efficiently, and to quality standards, while ensuring that all
equipment operates at peak efficiency to meet company-assigned
goals. The Shift Supervisor leads production by effectively
prioritizing work, making timely and sound decisions, communicating
clearly across all levels, and driving consistent production
results in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Main
Responsibilities: Holds full accountability for organizing and
executing shift operations, including effective management of all
assigned resources (direct and indirect), setting priorities, and
aligning labor and equipment to meet production demand. The Shift
Supervisor directly supervises production operators and directs the
on-shift activities of technical personnel by establishing
priorities, sequencing work, and coordinating timing in alignment
with production needs Establish and sustain high shift morale and
performance by clearly communicating objectives and results,
maintaining disciplined focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and
Cost, and addressing performance issues or conduct issues promptly,
consistently, and fairly. Execute the shift production plan by
integrating all available information (production schedules,
available resources, and prior-shift reports), while ensuring
accurate, timely reporting and a thorough, well-prepared handoff to
the incoming shift that will include completed reports, equipment
cleaned and materials prepared for production. Continuously monitor
and audit production performance against key indicators (output,
quality, and timeliness) and initiate timely corrective actions and
countermeasures to address deviations. Essential Functions :
Running Production Area Accountable to ensure parts are produced
and packaged in correct quantities and in accordance with
specifications. Accurately completes production reports and records
goods produced, quality concerns, and issues encountered to
guarantee smooth and informed shift changeovers. Actively monitors
and enforces quality processes to ensure deviations are identified,
contained, and corrected at the earliest possible time. Prioritizes
tasks and allocates labor and resources to maintain workflow, meet
the production plan, and minimize downtime. Makes timely, sound
decisions to support safety, quality, and production output.
Coordinates technical staff activities (maintenance, process,
downstream, etc.) during the shift and clearly communicates
priorities to technical personnel. Reviews recurring equipment or
process issues, follows established escalation procedures promptly,
and ensures appropriate leadership and technical support are
engaged. Validates completion of countermeasures. Drives technical
and production teams working together seamlessly to reduce downtime
and sustain equipment performance. Accurately maintains safety,
housekeeping and operational records and certifies that production
areas meet cleanliness and organization standards at all times.
Provides thorough and accurate handover reporting to the incoming
shift, including production status, quality concerns, equipment
conditions, staffing issues, and open action items. Evaluates, in
collaboration with the shift team, critical issues, concerns,
roadblocks; develops practical solutions and engages the team in
Kaizen and continuous improvement activities in coordination with
the Continuous Improvement lead. Employee Compliance: Enforcing
employee adherence to company policies and procedures. Establishes
safe employee behavior by enforcing regulations. Holds
accountability for the timely execution of employee training plans.
Leading the Team: Fosters teamwork, sets expectations, and
reinforces accountability. Assesses training needs and supports
employee development and growth. Takes ownership of staffing
coverage for operations, absenteeism, and holidays. Accurately
records time and attendance in a timely manner. Conducts regular
performance evaluations identifying high performance/high potential
employees. Proposes measures to develop high performing/high
potential employees while promptly exiting poor performers.
Communicates effectively with employees and leadership. Actively
engages self and team in continuous improvement and lean
initiatives by identifying gaps and collaborating
cross-functionally to implement sustainable improvements. Maintains
reasonable availability to support issue resolution when not
physically present. Enforces and executes safety standards,
training and the ALPLA Golden Safety Rules. Performance Metrics:

Requirements: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
Technical engineering background preferred. Supervisory experience
> 5 years required, preferably in plastics industry. Experience
in high-volume facilities producing millions of parts per week.
Supervisory experience over at least 10 operators per shift.
Plastics injection molding experience preferred. Strong process
knowledge Advanced computer skills Advanced computer skills.
Ability to train personnel. Strong leadership and communication
skills. Effective decision-making and prioritization. Ability to
develop talent and grow the team. Ability to drive production
performance and maintain standards. Understands end-to-end
processes and material flows and recognizes the cost impact of
operational decisions. It is required to act in a safe and
