We continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investors.Edward Jones is looking for a strong leader in the Shared Services Team to lead the Center for Enablement discipline. As a Department Leader you will help enable our large and growing Quality Engineering, Mobile Center of Excellence, Development Experience and API Office practices within the Technology organization and play a key role in driving and measuring Quality and Engineering maturity across our products as it relates to providing value to the firm's portfolios of digital products.

What You'll Do:

The Department Leader will lead multiple Teams and Team Leaders to support the following functions:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent collaboration, communication, and strategic thinking to align department activities, strategies, responsibilities, and objectives with the needs of digital portfolios and drive for the right results
    Excellent Communicator: Communicates in a direct, honest & empathetic manner with the ability to convey the strategic direction that's understandable at all levels of the organization
    Strong Collaborator: Partners successfully with peers in the Shared Services Team, across the Technology Division & among Portfolio Leadership to establish strong relationships to deliver on common value-add goals
    Strategic Thinker: Able to analyze factors and variables to create alignment of department strategies, activities, and objectives with the overall needs of the digital portfolios, while driving for the right results
    People Development: Develop leaders responsible to you and develop yourself while internalizing leadership feedback. Build strong relationships across the Quality, Mobile, and Development Experience organizations, the Technology division and with the extended product leadership team. Proactively nurture relationships with leaders and associated across the firm and support productive collaboration between teams.
  • Talent Sourcer: Experience in hiring, development planning, talent reviews, succession planning and attracting/retaining a diverse team of leaders and associates. Helping to drive the firm's inclusive culture through participation in relevant groups, both internally and externally. Engaging with the Vendor management strategy to extend our offshore talent model.
    Engineering Excellence Strategist - Excellent knowledge and experience developing strategy and implementing of DevOps Practice with strong emphasis on automation around testing, building, and scanning software at an enterprise scale. Experience selecting world class automation technologies and implementing automation using related tooling, including Selenium, Appium, Cucumber/Gherkin, Rest Assured or equivalent web-service automation tool, Git, Jenkins, or equivalent CI/CD tools, SonarQube or equivalent code quality tool.
    Delivery Advocate - Direct involvement in efforts to mature and measure our agile and DevOps practices for the organization as it relates to development experience. What You'll Need to Succeed:
    • Capable of mentoring and communicating a coherent vision for quality chapter strategy and tool usage
    • Experience in creating a strategic technology direction, aligning it with tactical activities, and communicating plans broadly across the organization.
    • Ability to multi-task and participate in multiple large and complex efforts or projects.
    • Strong knowledge and extensive experience working with product teams to develop appropriate level of testing based on the SDLC (Unit, Integration, API, Smoke, System, Browser compatibility, etc.)
    • Strong knowledge and extensive experience delivering in a continuous integration/continuous delivery setting
    • Able to perform analyses to solve complex problems and motivate peers to produce creative products and services
    • Proven ability to clearly communicate across multiple audiences.
    • Proactive, self-motivated, and independent with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.What Sets You Apart:
      • Experience working in a highly automated enterprise class software environment preferably of scale with thousands of tests going through a gated CI pipeline
      • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or Management

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:
