In a typical branch office, a financial advisor meets with clients
and receives branch office support, so they can focus on building
deep relationships with clients. Headquarters associates in St.
Louis, Tempe and Mississauga provide support and expertise to help
U.S. and Canada branch teams deliver an ideal client experience. We

investors.
The Department Leader in Client Transition is a critically
important role focused on the strategic transition of client
relationships as the result of a Financial Advisor retirement or
in-career transition. This role is essential to ensuring the firm
can achieve Financial Advisor growth goals for 2023 and 2024
through the successful execution of client transitions. The role
leads two Team Leaders and a department of dedicated consultants
focused on coaching branch teams to optimize their practice through
capacity analysis and/or succession planning. These coaches also
support recipients of client transition plans and provide veteran
Financial Advisors with tailored support for their client
transition plans including recipient selection, timing,
compensation, branch support planning, teaming options, and real
estate implications.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required.
- Series 7 and 66 required.
- 5 or more years of Edward Jones experience (directly supporting
branch teams) required or equivalent experience within the
financial services industry.
- 2+ years of leadership/management experience required.
- Project management experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of advanced practice management levels.
- Must have the ability to lead, manage, and develop multiple
leaders, associates and programs.
- Ability to develop and implement new business strategies to
support future firm health and growth.
- Strong marketing and presentation skills, as well as
exceptional written and verbal communication skills, in order to
effectively lead the firm's internal and external communication
efforts regarding asset sharing programs.
- Exceptional conflict resolution and negotiation abilities are
required.
- Exceptional understanding of the work, responsibilities,
success factors, and expectations of the branch team in order to
understand the impact that home office/department decisions have
upon the clients and branches.
- Strong collaborative skills in order to work with others and
drive for results with General Partners, Regional Leaders,
Financial Advisors, and associates in other departments/divisions.
Proven ability to collaborate with multiple divisions to
successfully execute on objectives.
- Very strong coaching and consulting skills necessary in order
to work with the most experienced veteran Financial Advisors.
- Ability to set and effectively communicate direction.
- Knowledge of Branch Training, Planning & Development, and FA
Coaching policies/procedures.
- General knowledge of human resources, legal and compliance
policies as they relate to client transition situations.

range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is
based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors
for a potential new associate:
