We continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investors.The Tech Fixed Income Trading team manages numerous critical proprietary and vendor-supported applications, used daily by our home office associates and over 15,000 branch teams in the US and Canada to trade, support, and service fixed income trading functions. If you are a person who shows initiative but appreciates a helpful team, as well as likes challenges, gets things done, and aims to keep commitments- this may be the role for you!What You'll Do:Act as a senior level full stack developer as a Java expertProvide guidance to test automation engineers to write automated test suites and build them into the CI/CD pipelinesTranslate business requirements into system design, work directly with Trading business analysts and product owners on requirements, prepare detailed technical specifications, and provide hour or story point estimatesComplete development tasks with minimal direction to design, code, test, debug, and/or maintain programs.Provide system support, including on-call rotation (a handful of times per year), troubleshooting, and resolving complex system issuesProvide guidance, training, and mentorship to other associates, including performing code peer reviews, suggesting best practices and following SDLC processesHelp drive our application modernization including rewriting legacy systemsWhat You'll Need:Minimum 7 years experience in Java application development and support; a Java expertExperience developing new web applications and utilizing modern web technologies such as Spring, REST, React, JavaScript/jQuery, Thymeleaf, JPA, Kubernetes, Junit, Selenium, and RestAssuredWillingness to upskill outside of the traditional Java world as needed, such as LinuxWhat Will Set You Apart:Experience with Kafka, MongoDB, Oracle DB, Spring Batch, Linux shell/bash scripting, and FIXKnowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, SRE, or Agile practices100 Best Workplaces for Millennials in 2022, published Fortune July 2022, Great Places to Work - data as of March 2022.
