If you have advanced knowledge of psychological concepts, evidenced-based interventions, and prevention strategies, this is an exciting opportunity for you!

As the Prevention Specialist Supervisor, you will work alongside practitioners and community partners to coordinate the delivery of mental health and prevention services. Your expertise will help lead the team in providing prevention services to schools, community teams, and private/public entities, with the goal of decreasing substance use and increasing mental health literacy among the population we serve.

***Key Responsibilities***

• - Provide oversight and direction to team members, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• - Support and guide team members, offering evaluation, feedback, intervention, and necessary support to meet job expectations and performance measures.
• - Conduct regular individual supervisions and administrative team meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• - Assist in the hiring and training of new staff, ensuring a smooth transition and onboarding process.
• - Monitor program data and reporting systems to ensure proper documentation and compliance with funding requirements.
• - Conduct assessments, screenings, and provide clinical recommendations and interventions accordingly.
• - Facilitate community educational training sessions and group psychoeducation on substance use prevention and mental health literacy.
• - Collaborate with schools and community groups to develop age-appropriate prevention activities and projects.
• - Maintain educational resources and keep accurate records of work activities.
  We're looking for someone with:
  • - A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work (preferred), Counseling, or a related human service specialized field of study.
  • - Experience working with adolescents and/or substance use is highly desirable.
  • - Missouri Prevention Specialist Certification through the Missouri Department of Mental Health (preferred or willing to obtain within six months of hire).
