From our team members to our residents and their families, we aim to maximize the potential of every life we touch.Based in St. Louis, Provision Living currently operates 18 senior living communities in Missouri, Michigan, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Ohio, serving nearly 1,000 older adults.Position SummaryThe Maintenance Manager reports directly to the Executive Director and will be responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of the building, maintaining the grounds, and make sure that they are in an exceptional condition and appearance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:* Repair and oversee the maintenance of equipment and building facilities* Maintain grounds including outside building repair, and lawn maintenance in cooperation with the contractors* Maintain and clean all areas inside the building, including the offices* Track and respond to all work orders in a timely fashion* Train staff on day-to-day operations and emergency procedures* Prepare and refurbish apartments for resident move-ins; including painting, carpet laying, replacement of vinyl floors, and installation of ceiling fans* Ensure fire safety and emergency procedures/records/measurements follow regulations and environmental concerns (natural disasters, fires, loss of electricity, plumbing issues, pipe breakages, etc.)* Inspect resident apartments for potential problems and hazards* Schedule and/or perform preventative maintenance and keep quality assurance records* Transport residents in company vehicles as scheduled and as needed* Respond to emergencies outside of normal working schedule as necessary* Other duties may be assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises employees (team members). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance to the Company policies, the Code of Ethical Business Conduct and applicable laws.Responsibilities include partnering with Regional Recruiter to interview and hire your team members.Training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.RequirementsEducationOne year certificate from college or trade/technical school;OR a minimum of 3 years related general maintenance experience and/or training;OR equivalent combination of education and experienceSkills/Experience* Two years of supervisory experience, preferred* Extensive knowledge of all building systems and related code requirements: plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and equipment repair* Strong leadership skills* Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills* Self-motivation and accountability for results* Possess an appreciation of seniors and an understanding of the aging process* Proficiency in Internet browsers and Microsoft OfficeTravelTravel is not required.Physical DemandsTo perform this job successfully, the physical demands listed are representative of those that must be met by an employee.
