Job Description:

The Maintenance I is in a position of considerable responsibility which demands a variety of abilities. These abilities include but are not limited to repair and maintenance of group homes, ISLs, administrative facilities, and other Arc facilities. General remodeling of living spaces, maintenance of roadways, parking lots and snow removal are included in these responsibilities. This individual may also be asked to drive a vehicle to transport clients or staff.Essential Job FunctionsThe development of and continued implementation of a preventive maintenance schedule in the group homes, ISLs, administrative facilities, and other Arc facilities.Minor repair to buildings and equipment.General remodeling work.Performs tasks common to the care of grounds and landscapes such as mowing lawns with riding or push mowers; trimming and edging around trees, shrubs, ground cover, flowers, sidewalks, and buildings; weeding, thinning and cleaning flower beds and other grounds by hand or utilizing proper tools and equipment.Ensure that high standards of safety are developed, met, and maintained at all Arc facilities.Arranges and coordinates the internal safety inspections of residential facilities and the Activity Center. Follows up on deficiencies and recommendations.Participates in the process and function of The Arc of the Ozarks Health and Safety Committee.Completes, coordinates, and arranges for the completion of corrective and preventive maintenance in accordance with Arc of the Ozarks operating procedures, practices, and financial considerationsEnsures that major equipment and furnishings are maintained in safe, operable conditions and/or arranges for replacement.Provide training as assigned to the residential staff as it relates to the safety and maintenance needs of residential facilitiesPlease view the PDF on the jobs page to review the full job description!PI184797393SDL2017
