The Investment Advisory Strategic Initiatives team at Edward Jones,
which is part of the Wealth Management Advice and Solutions
division, is responsible for leading the interaction within the
strategic programs operating model and consolidating the strategy
across the Investment Advisory business. We must have a dedicated
focus on the capabilities needed for the future while operating our
current business (current advisory programs and proprietary asset
management) with excellence.
The Wealth Management Advice and Solutions division helps ensure
that branch teams and our clients have a consistent supply of
high-quality retirement, banking, insurance, mutual fund, and
education savings products aligned with the firm's investment
philosophy and solutions-based advice and guidance. In addition,
the group drives innovation that will enhance products, services,
processes and systems to meet our current and future client needs.
These areas play a pivotal role in supporting the firm's goals of
deeply serving clients and associates serve as the firm's subject
matter experts for their respective areas.
As a Strategy and Planning Analyst, you will assist in creating the
vision for the future of wealth management at Edward Jones. You
will do this by leveraging data and insights to identify the
features, services, and configurations that will be necessary to
shape and transform our clients' experiences and outcomes and the
ways advisors will engage with technologies to produce these
results. To do this effectively, you will study the industry and
competitive landscapes, understanding trends, new technologies,
pricing and business models, and codify these findings into
position statements and recommendations-fit for purpose based on
Edward Jones's unique value proposition. You'll also have an
opportunity to build and maintain a diverse network of business
partners, and partner with them on challenges, opportunities, and
solutions. Similarly, you'll contribute to cross-functional teams
of colleagues from program management, portfolio management,
operations, marketing, and technology.
Day-to-day responsibilities of a Strategy and Planning Analyst
include, but are not limited to:
- Working with senior associates and leaders across the firm on
developing and integrating the Investment Advisory strategy.
- Developing and synthesizing perspectives, based on research
into client/advisory needs, industry trends, new product solutions,
and vendor solutions, that will help improve the advisory
- Providing clear and compelling qualitative and quantitative
analysis to support and shape the firm's investment advisory
- Working effectively with diverse teams to come up with the best
solution and move people and the organization to act.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 2-5 years financial services, product management, or strategic
planning/consulting experience preferred.
- Progress toward a Master's degree or additional financial
license/certification preferred (CFA, CFP, CIMA, etc.)Series 7 and
66 required within 6 months of hire. Qualifications for the Ideal

and the financial services industry.
- Brings solutions instead of problems by challenging the status
- General proficiency with systems and tools such as MS
- Strong working knowledge of advisory programs, systems, tools,
and workflow is a plus.Solid organizational, time management, and
project management skills to be able to meet or exceed
deadlines.Based on experience and position qualifications, there
may be some flexibility on level coming into the role for continued
development and learning.

this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on
skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a
potential new associate:
