Opportunity Overview
We are seeking an experienced data quality analyst to assist with
driving and executing the Data Governance's Data Quality Service
and Certification framework. As a key member of the Digital
Division's Data Quality team and Governance organization, you will
play a critical role in transforming Edward Jones into an
organization that not only utilizes its data assets but deploys
data quality as a service to ensure the decision worthiness of the
data a strategic asset. As a Data Quality practitioner, you and
your experience will be pivotal towards support the expansion of
the firm's strategy which is focused on People and Culture and
Digital Transformation which will help improve the lives of our
clients and colleagues, and together, better our communities and
society.
In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the DQ Team
Lead throughout various phases of the tactical (implementation) of
an enterprise Data Quality Service and Operating Model aligned to a
Data Quality Standard. As an ambassador and data quality champion,
you will be focused on the key stakeholders (data stewards, owners)
to ensure that data quality is deployed as a value-add service in
the critical path towards certification.
DQ Framework - Enable and Support all Facets of Data Quality
- As an ambassador for Data Quality, you will partner and support
the Data Stewardship community, (including Data Custodians and
stakeholders) to ensure that they have the support and knowledge
(over time) to adopt the end-to-end Data Quality framework as a
fundamental part of the service model.
- Data Quality Strategy:
- Support the data stewards and stakeholders (Product, Owners,
EA, etc.) to define data quality measures and monitoring enabling
the Data Quality Strategy & Service
- Assist with deploying training on all facets of the Data
Quality Service via SOPs / Playbooks
- Data Profiling & Analysis
- Work with the various Data Stewards to analyze and understand
results of data profiling as a key asset for assessing data
quality, documenting business rules and establishing acceptability
thresholds to monitor the data quality via implemented DQ
Rules
- Data Quality Measurement
- Facilitate the capture of DQ Rule requirements, testing in
lower environments, and evaluating data quality rules via the local
SDLC process to ensure dimensional based measures support DQ
Validations in Production
- Data Quality Monitoring and Reporting
- Work with Data Stewards to adopt usage of the DQ Scorecards to
understand the health of the data and impact of data quality
exceptions' issues
- Assist DQ Team Lead to standardize and evolve scorecards to
measure and monitor Data Quality
- Data Quality Issue Management & Remediation
- Facilitate a process for remediating DQ exceptions by enabling
prioritization of DQ Exceptions by impact under the Data Quality
Incident Management Standard/SOP

from within the business, Data Governance peers to deliver value to
data consumer communitySupport DQ project priorities and objectives
for your area of responsibility and measures of accountability for
resultsApply knowledge of end-to-end data quality processes to
support the formalization of governed, certified data that is
decision worthyLead and assist others in the management of
business, data, issues and regulatory risksDrive adoption and
value-add service model of data qualityCreate and deploy training

focused approach to ensure adoption and sustainabilityAdept in
SQL/Python to analyze data in columns, across tables and
relationship to support data quality rules as well as data
profiling techniques and resultsKnowledge of Agile and Project
Management software applications (JIRA)Hands-on experienced level
of data quality knowledge, data profiling and statistical insights,
implementation of data quality framework, DQ exceptions and issue
remediationPassionate data enthusiast who clearly understands and
promotes the value of data quality
What will set you apart:
Bachelor's Degree preferred or
certifications in Data Management/Databases, Management Information
Systems, Computer Science or related fieldData Domain knowledge in
financial services, banking, regulatory, and/or risk management 5 -
8 years of hands-on experience in data quality role
