We are currently hiring for Ophthalmic Technicians to join our ever-growing team of professionals who share our main focus of GREAT PATIENT CARE! We are passionate about showing you the ropes of the practice and teaching you a variety of new skills on the job. We offer a full technician training program. Ophthalmic Technician Responsibilities: Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave
Practice urgency at all times with patients time, as well as doctors time and schedule
Verify patient information by interviewing patient
Records medical history, current medications, and confirms purpose of visit
Checks condition of patient's eyes by observing pupils, muscles, visual acuity, and extraocular movements
Required skills include dilation, refraction, pressures, and performing a variety of diagnostic tests including but not limited to; visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL master, auto refractor and topography
Demonstrates working knowledge of eye anatomy, diseases, symptoms and ocular medications
General office duties and cleaning to be assigned by manager
Requirements: Ophthalmic Technician Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Must possess strong computer skills
One-year related experience preferred
